Brisbane is a funny little city. Every now and then a commission wall gets capped, and people tend to get quite upset about it. Sometimes, in an even funnier turn of events, an artist will make t-shirt about their resentment. We catch up with 1337 to scope out how he snapped back at one of street art's most internationally acclaimed artists, Anthony Lister.
TELL US ABOUT HOW THIS FIASCO STARTED?
Well ... Lister capped my work and tried to diss me in public so I made a t-shirt about it. I think it's pretty funny.
WHICH WALL WAS IT?
Bloodhound Bar in Fortitude Valley. We were actually askeded to paint under listers work by the owners so we made it a bit of community spot to showcase a number of different artists.
LUCKS HAD A BIT OF A BITE BACK ABOUT LISTER ON THE WALL TOO, YEAH?
Yeah, I think he was as disappointed as the rest of us. Some of us have know Ant for a
long time and its a shame he’s chosen to play like this.
HAVE YOU HAD A REACTION FROM LISTER?
He messaged me and said he was disappointed about what I’d done after being friends for 25 years. But even after being friends for so long he still wrote that shit on the wall, so tshirt.
WHERE CAN PEOPLE GET THE SHIRTS?
